Cairn Lodge services has only just been refurbished. It is owned by the same people who run the Teebay services in Northern England, and it's styled very similarly to this. It's fresh, modern and appealing throughout, with a good selection of local produce available. All areas were spotlessly clean and well presented. Prices are what is to be expected at a service station.
It is not exactly by the motorway but is very nice and relaxing, worth the stop. Food looks like freshly cooked and it is very good as well. I had an very early breakfast with haggis, mushroom, bean etc...really good....and freshly squeezed orange juice.
Absolutely top notch. Recently massively updated at long last. If only all services were like this. A real pleasure to spend time there and great homemade food. Part of the tebay services family business and it shows
This is an amazing services! Very modern and unique, loved the farm shop and the food on sale. Great facilities, loads of charging stations and even a nice shiny shower in the toilets. Best services ever!
This has got to be the best motorway service station. New, simple and efficient without the big brand franchise feel. Food was good. And what other service station has a castle out the back?
