Excellent Gastropub on Lanark High Street, serves great food and is especially great value with three courses for about a tenner at lunchtime.Best advice is to book a table or you could have to wait at busy times.We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed.
What a pleasant experience. It was recommended by a couple of locals as a great place to grab a quick pint before jumping on the train, and they were not mistaken. Some really nice ales on tap and a good selection of whisky. The crowd was small and friendly to the point where we stayed a little longer than we should have and ended up taking a later train home.
Tiny restaurant (American standard) but really good food. For my group, the entrance, through the bar, up narrow stairs, through an unmarked door, was unusual... but the food was good, the atmosphere welcoming (albeit really warm, temperature-wise), and definitely a European experience. We wouldn't change that experience!
