Clean, everything needed in a B&B. Good night sleep and great breakfast. Very handy if attending an event at the Lawrie and Symington centre.

Booked a double room months before the visit, called the week before the visit to confirm and all was okay. Arrive on the day at 3pm and was greeted with the lady who works in the bistro with a response of: "nope your name isn't anywhere on our list". She then calls her manager who said "I'll be down to reception in 5 minutes", she never arrives. Meanwhile in reception, another guest has come down to discuss a broken toilet in his room and he's told angrily "no we've already fixed that today". Followed by a German couple who wish to ask for a room and were replied in the same tone "no we're full, go elsewhere" charming. 10 minutes later, we're then greeted by some people who work in the stables, who again say our name isn't anywhere to be seen and there's only a single room free. We ask again where the manager is and they say we have to wait for them when they get back on Monday, (which then changes to 8am Sunday). Funnily enough, our family checked in an hour earlier and was served by said manager (who was very flustered and angry - noted in another review left for this hotel). Instead of admitting fault, they continue shaking their head saying we haven't booked and begin ringing other hotels for us to stay in.Luckily we managed to book a room elsewhere, but I don't particularly like running around stressing when I'm 4 months pregnant and being lied to. The next day we arrive home to hear 2 panicky voicemail messages left on the home phone from 11am that day discussing how we need to call them back urgently about our booking. Needless to say, they've double booked our room that morning with no apology given.
